Death

Currently working on a horror piece, so I'm gonna discuss with you death's importance in your writing, and ironically your life.

Death has been a common theme in stories since the beginning of time. It's something everyone either has or will experience. Whether it be their own demise or a loved one. And the sheer mystory of death has always intrigued us humans, scared us at times. It is the great unknown after all.
Death is the most powerful of all actions. It's definite, final. If I may refer to the movie "Hero" staring Jet Lei. He did all those kickass shit, but really, the most honorable moment of his life, was in fact his own death. And the people agreed. To give one's life I guess bestows honor upon the living? Stop me if I'm wrong.

Death really gets me excited in a way. As a writer.
There are just SO MANY ways to die.
There's the boring, sappy way with Cancer, or a bad cold, or even the loss of a love (lame). But then you get to the nitty gritty.
Beheadings
Squishing
Squashing
Baseball bat
Stabbing
Heart attack during sexual intercourse
Fires
Asphyxiation
Or just plain shooting.

That's the focus of my next work. How many ways can you kill. And what's the most effective.

First Attempt?

Yeah, there were those films from high school film class... those were FUCKING AWFUL and can burn in hell. But I just finished up work on the first episode of a series I like to call "The Creative Process"

A Solid Break Will Do Ya Good

I feel quite refreshed after this weekend. I'd just like to share some knowledge.

Writing is tough, I know. But pounding your head into your keyboard for hours on end won't get anything written. Sometimes, you just gotta go out and have some fun. Engage in your favorite form of debauchery. Have some sex... outdoors... or eat a doughnut. Whatever works for you.

I for one went to my favorite girl's birthday party. Won't go into details, but it was great... and appartly Singstar is easy to play when you're drunk. I know Fawna has a video of that shit somewhere too. lol.

But anyway, it's good to keep the good times rolling. Who knows, maybe you'll get an idea or two to pop out as you're eating that doughnut. Worked for me.

So go outside. Enjoy yourself, your writing will thank you.

The Fear

I recently made a post over at "Fear of Writing" about overcoming your fears and what not. But I realised today that I have problems following my own advice sometimes.

I was writing my fantasy script as I always am. I started to get really gorey and detailed. Then I just stopped. The only thing that came to mind was this image.

I guess I'm having a lot more trouble getting back to normal then I thought. The constant thought of the feds dragging me out of my house randomly (again) is pretty disturbing. What is this? Russia? I mean shit.

I promise this right now. It's very bold and I hope the feds and my toolish brother in law are reading.
You're not censoring this doggy for anything.

Observations

Today, I just looked out my window. What a morning.

We have an old white dude in my appartment complex that never wears a shirt, and yells a lot. Well, the cops were here today for some reason, he's yelling at them and gets his ass kicked (and me missing it on camera... I'm dumb.)
About an hour later, I see the usual gaggle of Mexicans over near the street, just hangin out and listening to really loud, off key mariachi music and yelling Spanish gibberish.
Also at about that time I saw a little mouse by the next appartment. I trapped it with my hands and took it downstairs to a grassy area.
The parking lot has broken bottles all over it today. Must have been quite a party last night.
Little kids are pushing each other around in a shopping chart. It looks like "Jackass" was about to go down. I watched in anticipation. But no one went flying.
I went back to the apartment disappointed, looked in the cabinet. Apparently my roomate raided my god damn frosting I was going to use on my friend's birthday cake... and her birthday is today.

This might make a good story... hmmm...

Thoughts of Dreams

Ironically, my life is like a movie. I'm tring to get from point A to B.
Really, it's like revenge. Kill Bill style. A blood tale of revenge.

Minus the blood and violence of course. Not that it's never crossed my mind.

It's all about making my parents pay. Is it petty?

HELL NAW lol
They'll learn the hard way that they should have been a little nicer.

I have nothing in my life to accomplish then to be the greatest writer ever. And I'm not creating lofty expectations. I will seriously become better then every damn body. Mark my words this day.

Managing Stress

So, you're writing. Good shit. Creating worlds, characters, and situations that are completely under your control. Unfortunately for you, the real world around you isn't. Let's face it. World sucks. It's just a matter of sucking it up and dealing. But as we all know, when we're stressed, we can't really work as we should. There are a couple of things I know of that can help you through that get you working again.

Damn, where would I be without the blessing on the numbered list?

1. Just Relax.
Obvious statement is obvious. This is a time for you. A time to escape. That's one thing I had to learn after my attempted suicide fail. You gotta take the time to relax and really just worry about one thing at a time. Also, don't worry about things that are out of your control. They'll drive you mad.
2. Make it Work for you.
Nothing works better then writing off your raw emotions. The beauty of being human. Angry, sad, frightened? Run with it.
I ended up writing this http://www.box.net/shared/njytte4rnv
SURE it landed me in mental hospital for three weeks. But I salvaged out of that, "Hey, it must have been pretty good to freak people out like that. Go America!"
It's during these times you say and do things you normally wouldn't perfect for writing out of my comfort zone.

Live long and prosper.

Welcome Good People

Writing is always a quest. A heroes journey even.
I'm just another hero on another quest tring to slay the great dragon known as the world of writing.

Hopefully I can help a few other people with their woes as well along the way.

Good luck to you all!
